Used as an anti scale media for various water applications including pre-filtration before washing machines, water heaters, boilers, coffee machines, ice makers, and other drinking water applications. This re-fill pack can be used to re-fill your existing polyphosphate based filter cartridge or system.

How It Works

Polyphosphate acts as a scale inhibitor by interacting with calcium and magnesium minerals naturally present in hard water. This helps interfere with the formation and growth of scale crystals, reducing their tendency to build up on pipes, heating elements and other surfaces.

Polyphosphate can also help control corrosion and reduce deposits associated with dissolved metals such as iron, helping protect water systems and equipment.

Water treated by polyphosphate offers effective scale prevention even when heated up to temperatures of 60-65C, beyond this effectiveness decreases. Note: the media should be used with cold water only (to filter the cold water before it goes to the water heater).
